Add videos

Add video clips from your photo library or the Files app, or record new videos with your camera. Videos play directly on your board with a play button in the corner.

Add a Video

Open the shelf: on iPadOS and macOS it’s on the left side of the screen; on iPhone it slides up from the bottom.

1. Add a Video Item: Tap the video item in the shelf to add it to the board.
2. Choose a Source: Select a video from your Photo Library or Files, or record one with the camera.
3. Play the Video: Use the play button in the lower-right corner.

Tips

• View Videos Fullscreen: Double-tap a video to open a fullscreen Quick Look window where you can play and share it.
• Adjust Video Quality: Use the board settings to change video quality. Higher quality increases file size.
• Create Similar Items: Press Shift-Command-N to quickly create a similar item.
• Connect Items: On iPad and Mac, enable connector mode (the link button in the overlay controls), select an item, then drag from the arrow handles that appear. Or select two items and tap the pin button in the toolbar. See Organize items with lines for details.
• Drag and Drop or Paste Videos: Add videos by dragging and dropping or pasting them. Learn more about drag and drop on iPadOS from Apple Support.
• Automate: Use shortcuts to automate adding videos to boards.
