Connection Actions

Corkulous offers two connection styles from Shortcuts: casual strings for corkboard-style boards, and formal connectors for flowcharts and diagrams. Pick whichever matches the tone of your board.

Connect Items with String

Creates a classic corkboard string connection between two items. Strings have a casual, handmade appearance that’s perfect for mind maps and brainstorming boards.

Parameter	Required	Description
Board	Yes	The board containing the items
Item 1	Yes	First item to connect
Item 2	Yes	Second item to connect
Color	No	String color: Blue (default), Red, Green, Purple, White, or Yellow
Start Endpoint	No	Pin style at Item 1
End Endpoint	No	Pin style at Item 2

String Endpoint Types

• Pin (default): Classic corkboard tack.
• Pointer: Pointing hand icon, good for showing direction.
• Pushpin: Alternative decorative pin.
• None: No endpoint decoration.

Connect Items with Connector

Creates a formal line connection between two items — ideal for flowcharts, org charts, and professional diagrams.

Connector Types

• Straight: Direct line between items.
• Curved: Smooth Bezier curve.
• Elbow: Right-angle connector, great for flowcharts.

Stroke Types

• Solid (default): Continuous line.
• Dotted: Small dots.
• Dashed: Longer dashes.

Connector Endpoint Types

• Pin (default): Small circle.
• Arrow: Arrowhead pointing at the item.
• Circle: Filled circle.
• None: No endpoint.

Items connected with strings or connectors are automatically grouped — when you move one item, the connection follows.
