AI Audio Generation

Convert text to natural-sounding speech for narrations and voiceovers.

Give your boards a voice. AI Audio turns text into natural-sounding speech for narrations, voiceovers, and read-aloud content. Credits mode narration works across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Provider Mode also lets you save narration defaults.

Note: For songs, beats, or instrumental tracks, use AI Music Generation instead.

Creating Narration Audio

From the Audio Node Menu

  1. Open your board and add an audio item.
  2. Select Generate Audio with AI.
  3. Enter or paste the text you want spoken.
  4. Choose a voice (if available).
  5. Tap Generate.
  6. Preview, then add to your board.

Through the Agent

In Agent, ask for spoken audio, for example:

  • “Create audio narration about this board.”
  • “Read this text aloud in a clear speaking voice.”
  • “Make a voiceover for these notes.”

Note: Very long narration requests may be split into multiple generated audio items to satisfy provider limits. Corkulous adds each part to your board automatically.

Provider Mode Defaults

In Provider Mode, the provider card’s Defaults section is where you save the default voice and output format for narration.

The audio generation view loads those defaults when it opens. If you switch voices or output format in the view, that change applies only to the current request unless you go back to Provider Settings and update the provider defaults. The Agent and board generation use the same saved defaults when their tool calls omit voice or format details.

Use Cases

  • Presentations: Add voice narration to explain your board.
  • Studying: Convert notes to audio for listening on the go.
  • Accessibility: Make board content available in audio form.
  • Podcast-style content: Create spoken segments quickly.

Costs

Narration audio cost depends on the selected tier and the amount of text spoken. Current Credits mode defaults are:

Narration choiceTypical credits
Regular narration3 credits plus 1 credit per started 1,000 characters
Premium narration7 credits plus 10 credits per started 1,000 characters

Regular is the default. Premium uses a separate provider route when it is available and can offer more expressive voices at a higher credit cost. See Credits System for current pricing details.
