Corkulous, with its nested board feature, offers a structured and user-friendly approach to organizing content. Unlike an endless canvas, where it's easy to lose track of information, nested boards in Corkulous allow users to create layers of boards within the main board, enhancing the ease of navigation and content management.
To use the described feature on an iPadOS or macOS device, first extend the shelf on the left side of the screen. On an iPhone, the shelf extends from the bottom instead. Here are the steps to follow:
Accessing the Board Item: Tap on the board item located in the shelf. This will cause the item to animate and move to the center of the canvas.
Add a baord: Adding a board will bring up the board creation screen. Choose the type of board you wish to add to the canvas.
Open a board: Simply double tap a board to open it. Once users select the back arrow they will be returned to the board whence they came.
Board Tips
Creating Similar Items: To quickly create an item similar to one you've just made, use the keyboard shortcut ⇧⌘N.
Connecting Items: To connect items, long-press on an item until it glows. Then, drag a string/connector to another item. Alternatively, select two items and connect them using the pin button in the navigation bar. There's also a setting in the board's settings to choose the type of connections.
Drag and Drop/Pasting Boards: Users can drag and drop boards onto any any canvas. In the home screen users can drag a board and hover over another board till it opens. Then dropping that board wherever on the canvas. Exported boards may also be dragged and dropped onto a canvas. Finally, users can copy and paste boards as well. See managing boards to access the copy feature in the menu. Learn about this for iPadOS from Apple Support.
