Users may add a contact to the board. Choose from the device's list of contacts or create a new one. Great for making an org chart.
To select one or more items-such as contacts, emails, files, folders, or photos-do any of the following:
Select an item: Move the pointer over the item, then click it.
Select multiple items: Press and hold the Command key, then click the items.
Select multiple items that are next to each other: Click the first item you want to select, press and hold the Shift key, then click the last item.
You can also click near the first item, press and hold the mouse or trackpad, then drag over all of the items.
To use the described feature on an iPadOS or macOS device, first extend the shelf on the left side of the screen. On an iPhone, the shelf extends from the bottom instead. Here are the steps to follow:
Accessing the Contact Item: Tap on the contact item located in the shelf. This will cause the item to animate and move to the center of the canvas.
Add/Create the Contact: After the blank contact is added a dialog will appear to select between existing or new contact. When users select an existing contact, the list of the devices contacts is raised for selection. If a new contact is selected, then the contact form is raised for creation. Users may select and add multiple contacts from the picker.
Show Contact Details: Double tap the contact on the canvas to bring up it's details.
Creating Similar Items: To quickly create an item similar to one you've just made, use the keyboard shortcut ⇧⌘N.
Connecting Items: To connect items, long-press on an item until it glows. Then, drag a string/connector to another item. Alternatively, select two items and connect them using the pin button in the navigation bar. There's also a setting in the board's settings to choose the type of connections.
Drag and Drop/Pasting Contacts: Users can add contacts by dragging and dropping or pasting contacts. Learn about this for iPadOS from Apple Support.
